Hungarian Real Estate Association ( MAISz )
The Hungarian Real Estate Association was founded in 1991 by 21 real estate agents under the name of the Chamber of Hungarian Real Estate Agents. The Association adopted its current name in 1998.
The Association organizes and brings together members operating in the real estate sector, negotiates and represents their interests from a professional and economic point of view, operates a professional liability insurance system to ensure the safety of their work, and ensures high-level recognition of their activities for the representatives of the real estate profession with its special certification procedure.
America’s largest trade association, representing 1.5 million+ members, including NAR’s institutes, societies, and councils, involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.
Our membership is composed of residential and commercial brokers, salespeople, property managers, appraisers, counselors, and others engaged in the real estate industry. Members belong to one or more of approximately 1,200 local associations/boards and 54 state and territory associations of REALTORS®.

The Hungarian-American Chamber of Commerce, Texas (HACCTX) will become a one-stop platform for dialogue between business leaders in Hungary and Texas. HACCTX work is to enhance the Hungarian-Texan trade, investment and advance the commercial relationship.
In 2003, the Hungarian Real Estate Association established and still operates the identity certification organization for real estate appraisers in 2003. Real estate appraisers are certified by the Personal Certification Organization in accordance with the ISO/IEC 17024:2003 standard and TEGoVA requirements.
The Identity Certification Organization grants the EUFIM title to those real estate appraisers who have appropriate experience, education and professional qualification, meet the pre-qualification conditions and can successfully defend their professional work in the qualifying exam after a successful written exam. In the case of a successful identity verification procedure, the Identity Verification Organization issues a Certificate to the candidate, which entitles the candidate to use the EUFIM address, subject to continuous monitoring. The certification is valid for 5 years.
